ILRI-N2Africa Writeshop 10-13 November 2015 Beshale Hotel, Addis Ababa
Introduction to the Writeshop N2Africa is a large scale, science-based “research-in-development” project focused on putting nitrogen fixation to work for smallholder farmers growing legume crops in Africa. Its vision of success is to build sustainable, long-term partnerships to enable smallholder farmers to benefit from symbiotic N2-fixation by grain legumes through effective production technologies (including improved seeds, inoculants and fertilizers) and market linkage in the legume value chains.
The writeshop will be convened to precisely put together N2Africa sub-grantees to share their experiences on the activities implemented, analyze these experiences, and deduce the achievements, lesson learned, changes and opportunities identified for the input of annual reporting. Milestones in the result framework will be used to measure progress in various components. The processes will ensure timely feedback loops and facilitate learning. Therefore, this writeshop plans to ensure common approaches to compile Annual Report and organize & upload the 2015 data to the N2Africa server.
Contents
Objectives of the Writeshop
- To ensure common approaches to compile Annual Report;
- To organize and upload the 2015 data to the N2Africa server.
Expected Outputs
- The annual report of each sub-grantee will be compiled based on the format provided.
- The 2015 data at hand will be uploaded to N2Africa server.
Process to meet expected outputs
- Group work to compile annual report, organization of 2015 data, data upload to N2Africa server using tablets. All participants should have laptop computer and bring the digital tablets & original data collection folders to facilitate the overall writeshop processes.
